Glass partitioning can transform commercial office space, creating a sense of openness and transparency whilst maintaining acoustic privacy between activities.
Over the past 30 years, we have worked alongside leading design practices whose schemes have created distinctive and inspiring commercial interiors. With a proven track record in the commercial sector, exceptional products and an ability to deliver on every project, it’s easy to see why our clients come back to us time and time again.
Acoustic Performance Today, clients want and need exceptional performance when it comes to acoustic sound insulation within office environments. With the continual popularity of predominantly open plan office space, there is a growing need for quiet office rooms and meeting rooms with controllable acoustics for confidential conversations to take place. Consequently, the acoustic performance of glass partitions has become increasingly important.
At Optima we invest a lot of time and expertise in acoustic research and development. All of our products are tested to the highest standard for acoustic performance in a UKAS accredited laboratory.
We have our own acoustically qualified Technical Manager who is on hand to offer professional advice, helping you to select the right products to suit your specific acoustic requirements. Additionally, our expert team of Project Managers and installers, equipped with years of experience and knowledge, are trained to look out for the potential pitfalls on site to ensure there are no acoustic weaknesses that might compromise the acoustic performance of our glass partitions.
Structural Performance Robustness is another important consideration when specifying glass partitions within a commercial environment. Our Technical Team can advise on glass thickness and maximum heights to suit your scheme, and all our products are designed to accommodate vertical and lateral deflection if required.
Adaptability When it comes to the planning and design of commercial interiors, maximum utilisation of space is a major challenge. Our glazed partitioning systems are fully demountable, helping to create flexible spaces that can be quickly and easily transformed and reconfigured over time.
Fire Performance All partitions that enclose fire escape stairs and fire escape routes require appropriate degrees of fire protection as agreed with Building Control. We can offer a range of Fire Rated Partitions that can achieve 30 or 60-minute fire ratings as standard, but higher ratings can be achieved if necessary.
Security We understand that security within commercial buildings is a vital consideration and Access Control Systems provide a number of solutions. From card reader systems to electronic cylinders and handles, we will work closely with your security contractor to ensure that any interface issues are discussed and resolved before reaching a site, thereby ensuring seamless integration between the access control system and our glass doors.
Sustainability At Optima, we are dedicated to uncovering and utilising the most sustainable solutions, processes and methods available. In doing so, we hope to reduce our impact on the environment. We are fully accredited to the Achilles Building Confidence Scheme. This is recognised within our industry as one of the most rigorous regimes and is based on quality, reliability, social responsibility and environmental factors.
All of Optima’s glazed partitions achieve an ‘A’ summary rating in the BRE Green Guide to Specification.
